Today was a busy, busy day. I packed my grill out on a couple of occasions and we turned the restaurant a couple of times over. At one point, I thought to snap a couple of pictures with my phone.

I am not looking forward to tomorrow or the rest of the weekend. It's FAMU homecoming and we're the newest game in town, so we're going to be packed balls to the wall. I made it through the restaurant's grand opening. It was actually a fairly easy event for me, since cooking hot food was not a large requirement. Instead, I went it early and we banged out the prep work for the day (mostly hors d'oeuvre) and then I went to the ballroom, where I set up a couple of tables and made ice cream to order using liquid ( Read more... ) -

Finished the evening by making ice cream with liquid nitrogen. It's nothing I haven't done before, but most of the kids I'm working with have never seen anything like it. I busied myself by making a meat order instead. Let them have their fun ( Read more... )
