And he laid down on the covers, himself an unguarded man. He ripped the tie off that in his mind was choking him. He fiddled with the buttons on the top of his shirt, frustrated, until Kate took over.

I'd always wondered how long Jack stayed with Kate until his descent into alcoholism and drug addiction became too much, which led to their separation. I feel like there are so many things we still haven't seen of them off the island.
That being said, this scenario is something I can actually see on the show. It's so unbelievably sad, but it has to be when dealing with that premise.
"How could I?" She asked as the tears welled. "How could I hate you? You saved me, Jack. Don't deny that."
His fists clench and his voice shook. The alcohol on his breath wafted out, filling the air with angst.
"You fucking saved yourself."
That part really stuck out to me. I just... I don't really know what to say. It's just that good. XD
The ending was beautiful, also. Great job! :D
