My sister turns thirty today. I just typed that sentence and stared at the word thirty for a very long time because it looked so foreign among the other words of that sentence that I thought I had spelled it wrong.

I have a headache. I cannot breathe. I have slept, rather than studied, the majority of my weekend away.
