Further Tales of Indoor Wildlife
The cat just killed a mouse. This is amazing, as he's old and slow and "has not too many teeth," as the vet puts it. There was a sound in the kitchen and then he came out to the living room making muffled meowing noises and carrying the mouse. Then he decided to drop it on the floor and start batting it around. The Latest and Last Bat Update
Bruce the bat is gone, he went flying out an open window last night. -
Bat Update
A few minutes ago I went upstairs to open up windows and such, so the bat (I'm calling him/her Bruce) can have escape routes tonight other than mom's bedroom window. I came back downstairs to discover that Bruce was now flying around down there. Bruce quickly decided that upstairs is far superior, as well as darker and less full of large moving ( Read more... ) -

It just wouldn't be summer without finding a bat flying around the house at four am. The critter is currently sleeping attached to the upstairs hallway doorway. The plan is to leave him alone until it gets dark. At that point he should go flying right out MOm's open window back into the wilderness. -
