So - I just realized that this overwhelming feeling of misery - isn't really misery. It's loneliness. As much of a loner as I am and content to be on my own - I'm pretty much ignored for 45+ hrs a week. That's what this is. Somehow, that makes it more bearable.

So I will occasionally read articles my friends/family post on FB. So I was reading this article on racism. In fact, it was called "I, Racist" if you want to look it up. Things at work are a bit stressful just from the sheer fact that the O&G industry is tanking (pardon the pun) right now, and we're all afraid of losing our jobs at any minute. On a recent trip to STL, I saved my manuscripts. I've been cooing about it for weeks. For out of all the things I saved/found while I was there, this was perhaps, the thing I valued most. Don't get me wrong- I saved a ton of my favorite goodies. But the manuscripts - those were invaluable to me. And from the looks of it, another month might've left ( Read more... )
