I started out reading about foods that raise Cortisol hormone levels and why that's bad for you. But there's more to having elevated Cortisol hormone levels than just the foods you eat.
After a couple of hours of this, I googled a weird question: IS THERE A GENETIC LINK TO HAVING ELEVATED CORTISOL LEVELS?

It's actually more complicated and more complex than you've represented it as being, here.
But the point is: Has a board-certified, medical school graduated Medical Doctor, ideally one specializing in either Cushing's Disease or Cushing's Syndrome, suggested (however strongly) that you should be tested to determine whether you have either?
I suggest you follow your doctor's or specialist's recommendations or instructions. Neither CS nor CD can be diagnosed properly except by a qualified medical doctor---and not all medical doctors are fully knowledgeable when it comes to Cushing's simply because they work in a different specialty.

That's EXACTLY what I've begun finding out. (Research does take time and lots of thought.)
Right now I'm thinking about my list of symptoms and the questions I'd like to ask my endocrinologist during my next appointment. Her department is aimed at working with diabetes and thyroid patients so I'm thinking that Cushing's syndrome might possibly be in her territory as well. We'll see.
Your advice is 100% solid.
