I've read about these little gadgets from time to time but this is the first time I've actually seen one being used. I have no idea if they still make them though....
It apparently mends hose. I think hose that's of a heavier variety than modern panty hose though. This is only the third time in my life that I've even seen them mentioned and I've never seen them used before. I thought that some of the other people who sew here on LJ might like to see it so I posted it.
