Te reo week

Sangaku and Soroban
I started a facebook fan page today for Sangaku, which are mathematical tablets usually hosting geometry problems that were hung in Shinto shrines during the Edo period. They are examples of Wasan, which is the name for more indigenous mathematics (driven partly by the Edo period nationalist spirit). Wasan comes from the Chinese name for Japan ( Read more... ) -

Operation
Well I no longer have tonsils. I was in extreme pain the day of the operation and wasn't all that great yesterday but I am better today. My doctor did tell me yesterday before discharging me that I would start to feel better but the pain would come back and be the worst around post op days 4 to 6. Seeing as how I know things may get worse I've been ( Read more... ) -
Tests
Having a blood test tomorrow morning to determine if I have diabetes and iron deficiency problems. Will be good to have it done to know if I do have diabetes but I dislike having needles jabbed into my veins to extract my cells :(
