I admit to getting quite emotional as Obama was sworn in. How wonderful that future generations will grow up knowing that race is no barrier to becoming President of the United States, even if your middle name happens to be Hussein. How wonderful too that Martin Luthur King's dream is finally realised.

So I have a new job!

From 19 November I will be working in the HR department of the University up at Foresterhill. It is something that I have wanted to get into for a long time, more money and easier commute.

Awww, my lovely other half sent me some gorgeous flowers today in work. I know it's corporate and over hyped and all that, but I still loved it.
