I just got the most pleasant looking card in the mail that brought me the most unwelcome news. My first, and so far only, love asked his longtime girlfriend to marry him. Apparently, I will be invited, but I don't know if I can watch him look into her face and pledge to be hers forever. You know the way people look on their wedding day, all glowing

Well, I don't HAVE to go, but there is that morbid curiosity of how good the bride will look. It'll give me a good excuse to hang out in Jacksonville for a weekend. Also, not only was he my first love, he was my best friend before nuclear fallout of our relationship, and he wants me to be there...and I want to shed a tear* for my best friend at his wedding.
Maybe I'm a masochist, that's also a possibility.
