i don't even watch TV, but for some reason i feel offended by the idea that the world will be switching to 3DTVs, because monocular folks like me would be excluded.

when i picked up c at daycare on thursday, i guess i interrupted the daycare provider's prayer time. next to her prayer rug, she had c sitting on a mini prayer rug! too cute!

this evening, j watched c chew on mr. bun's ear!!!

forgot to mention that there was another mom in a bikini today!

set up the christmas tree on the dining table this year so that c can't get to it. and because the tree isn't near any outlet, i skipped on the lights and instead dug out the 10 or so ornaments i have that don't contain any small parts and aren't made of glass, ceramic, or wax (i.e., the indestructible ornaments). of course ulrike is fascinated ( Read more... )

yesterday, c climbed into the dishwasher. and i caught mr. bun peeing on the doormat.

today, j brought home grapefruit juice and wine, along with two loaves of bread, a cucumber, and an avocado.

Ulrike turns three today!

with the help of a ripping chisel and rubber mallet (and some pliers), the settee is stripped down to its frame. now the real stripping fun begins -- varnish stripping. i am using this product made from soy beans that doesn't smell carcinogenic. and i've discovered that no matter what you use, stripping varnish is a messy job. and not very fun.
