With ina's help yesterday I am now in the possession of a plane ticket! I will leave here on October 31st and come back on January 1st (I will welcome the new year on board a plane). This would never, ever have been possible without the help of you guys. I still feel like this can't possibly be reality, surely this many good things can't be happening

Hee, funny, that - all the parents seem to live in Florida *g* ... and in winter, the climate is really lovely there. Not so much in May or September when I was there :/
Going back is going to be hard after two months, but you can fill your "positive emotion bucket" to the rim and it should carry you over a couple of months, especially when you get to greet a new year together.

*beams* I'll try to pack an extra "positive emotion bucket"! Right now I can't even think of the end of this wonderful time that's still ahead of me. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and still feel like it's all a dream after all! Then I look at my little calendar and cross off another box and it's real again and absolutely amazing.

I've never been to Florida before, so I'm very curious what it will be like. The only thing that is going to be strange is the absence of coldness and snow for Christmas. I guess I can sing "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire" to the alligators! :D
And what a coincidence that your inlaws also live there! Sometimes the world is so small.

^_^ Schön! Meine Mutter sagt, daß sie vorher immer genau abklärt, was derjenige benutzen darf und was nicht. Da sie praktisch keine Wertgegenstände hat, schließt sie auch nichts weg, aber wenn Du etwas Wichtiges/Wertvolles hast, kannst Du es vielleicht zu einem Freund bringen.

Ich hatte mir überlegt, meine wertvolleren Gegenstände (hauptsächlich meine externen Festplatten und meine Gitarre) einfach in meine kleine Abstellkammer zu tun, die kann man nämlich abschließen. Danke für den Tip deiner Mutter
