I was watching Ted Allen on Food Detectives, and I don't think the format is working at all. It seems like he's trying to channel a less verbose Alton Brown, but instead conveying a precocious 7 year-old boy who's been given a food science show and allowed to strangle the audience's ear canals every week with his holier-than-thou food knowledge. Moved into new apt this weekend. Was extremely hot. Worsened by absence of early-moving/grossly inconsiderate third roommate. Did score her leftover green tea, chicken noodle soup, and oyster sauce from the pantry. Also likely fucked up Econ midterm yesterday morning. ...Consequently started typing like Rorschach from Watchmen?
