The news a year ago was tragic, but now I come with good news. In approximately mid-April, I will be a grandparent. My youngest is pregnant and she and her husband are looking forward to thie new arrival. I can't wait to see if I'm going to be a grampa or grandma.

On November 1st, 2006 my brother entered eternity. At 4:11 PM in his girlfriend/caregiver's home he died. I was present, holding his step daughter's hand when he drew his last breath. Well, in a complete turnaround, the lad is doing OK. The meeeting wasn't what was expected. He went home, and two days later was admitted to ICU. His blood pressure was 63/53. I'm going to go along with my brother tomorrow to his doctor. The doctor has asked that his immediate famliy come to this appointment. He was not feeling well last summer at my son's wedding, and had been diagnosed with an ear infection. The anitbiotics didn't seem to be helping, so they did a CT/scan and found cancer in his tongue and neck. ( Read more... )
