Walking in the Cold
This morning was just about as cold as yesterday (right around 0°F), but with a little wind to add to the wintry feel. But today I had my new winter coat to try out . . . my first decent winter coat in a dozen years, at least . . . and it would have been a shame not to take a walk under those circumstances.

Google Has "Street-Viewed" My City
Google has added Minneapolis and St. Paul to their ever-expanding list of cities (23 at last count) with "street view" available. They gather images by driving up and down every street in the metro area with some sort of super-dodecaphonic camera mounted on the roof, snapping multiple angles as they roll along and digitally stitching it all ( Read more... ) -
Miscellany
Last Thursday, I shook some red pepper onto a slice of pizza . . . I like a little more "heat" . . . but got a few more flakes than I really wanted. So I dipped the tip of my index finger into the little pool of grease in the center of a pepperoni slice where some of the flakes had gathered, extracting some and wiping them onto a napkin.

My lunchmates and I took a side-trip to Best Buy today, in search of a "Rock Band" setup. We weren't disappointed. The Days Are Short But Ever So Busy
My dance card is filling up fast. The department winter outing is set for Monday, December 3--we're going out for pizza and indoor go-kart racing, followed by self-directed retiring to a local drinking establishment for some beverages and trivia. Coming Off a Four-Day Weekend
I managed to stay busy through a four-day weekend without accomplishing much of anything. I cooked a turkey, played D&D, donated blood, and watched quite a bit of football.
