I'll do it for eight shillings and a bucket of Vimto. Also, I'm not regulated by any professional body, which means I can be a little more flexible than those Johnny By-The-Books at the Law Society.

John Brindley, of Symes Robinson & Lee, has done 2 out of three conveyancings for me and each time he - or whoever he supervises, it's frankly unlikely to be him - was very good. And at Devonshire prices. You say poorly carried out, but there may be an element of getting what you pay for there.

Here he is:

Well he certainly seems professional, and was easy to reach on the phone on a Friday afternoon. Even seemed pleased to hear from me.

I ageee £250 is too low, and anyway they'll probably invent £100 fees for each phone call or something once you get going. John seems reasonable. Let us see!

If you haven't already you might mention me, and also Seamus, to him. We've both used him cos my Dad worked with him, and I keep putting conveyancing work his way.

I dropped your name, perhaps I'll drop Seamus's next time too...

Hi Rick - have you appointed one yet? You can use the same one as me, if you like?

Hi! I appointed the Devonshire one in the end. He's only £140 more than my Hindi lady, and is heavily recommended!

Thanks for an AMAZING champagne party.
