Ah, I just saw the entry. What a crock. When somehting like Assassins can be canceled by a purely unrelated event I can only feel myself losing further faith in the ability of people to correctly think in the cultural context of our times.

I think its a damn shame how people can confuse the issue.

Assassins was cancelled this year because people free-associated a connection with Virginia Tech.

I'm not sure who's decision it really was, but I think it came shortly after whoever was organizing the game spoke to one of the deans. So, very possibly.
