It got up to 104 yesterday, which is nasty when you don't have air conditioning.  I brought my desktop computer downstairs and I'm sitting in front of a fan. Back in January I joined Curves and continued my aquarobics class 2-3 times a week and was doing reasonably well with that.  Then when I tried to decrease my dose of prednisone I felt incredibly AWFUL.  My arms and even my head felt like they were too heavy to lift.  When I stood up to walk, my head felt blood-deprived and I could hardly move.  I  ( Read more... )

 I'll start with the weather.  On Friday it got up to 97 degrees here, with days before and after to around 80.  Just one month ago we had three days of snow on the ground in the morning.  This has been a strange spring weather-wise.  Now it's back to cloudy and drizzly, which is normal for this time of year.

I finally got my disability claim approved.  I had to go to court to get it, and it's been a long time coming.  I haven't been able to work at all for the past two years, and five years before that I was only working part-time.  I'll be getting 3-1/2 years of back pay in one big chunk.  I will no longer be dependent on my mother's social security ( Read more... )

Has anyone else has problems with this?  After I installed it, I started getting lots and lots of popups.  It got to be REALLY annoying.  I finally just reset my computer to the day before it was installed.  I have XP (home) and IE 6.0 with all the upgrades, and that works just fine for me.

You might have guessed I'm a cat lover from my user pic.  My older cat died yesterday.  He was 14 years old and apparently had a stroke a couple weeks ago.  He improved some, although still had problems witih falling, but he could eat and drink.  He apparently had another stroke yesterday that killed him.  I'm glad I didn't have to have him ( Read more... )

I finally figured out what I needed to do regarding validation e-mails thanks to some tips I got.  THat was over a month ago.

I just got back online today after being down two weeks with another problem. We had a power outage here, and it apparently fried my wireless adapter.  I have a (free) replacement now and should be good to go.
