It started on Sunday. It was an innocent enough morning, sunny, pleasant. OwlWatcher had just played a show the previous night and I got a late start getting out of bed to go meet my mom who was visiting from Ohio. The Blues Traveler self-titled was solid (the album from which "But Anyway" comes). Actually, everything before Four I think still holds up. Especially Travelers & Thieves.

Also, John Popper isn't fat anymore. It's weird.

I know, it's crazy that he lost all the weight. It's sort of funny that he can't use his custom-built harmonica suspenders anymore because he's so svelte. Also, I had no idea he was a total libertarian douche drizzle.

I am even more ashamed to own his solo album, Zygote, in light of his political beliefs.

I can't decide if I like it better when he sings it like: "But anyway" or when he does it in the more rushed: "Butanyway."
