In order to escape the horrors of Propositional Logic, I decided to use the recently scanned DISTRESS AND COMA booklet to translate the title track a little earlier than I anticipated.
This song is extremely sad. In a way, it's numbing - fitting the theme and title of the piece perfectly. It depicts a kind of pain that is hard to escape from, and

When I read your notes I got a much deeper and different view on the lyrics. They are really brillantly beautiful, dripping with sadness.

I definitely agree that these are some of Ruki's best lyrics :)
The lyrics tell quite a bit of a story. Ruki did say that it's about a girl being trapped in a coma, unable to wake up from some traumatic dream she's having. He mentioned this on Wednesday J-Pop and he's also talked about it in some magazine interviews... Fool's Mate March 09 (at first, he had an image of a 'sleeping princess', but slowly it changed to her being in a coma and having a traumatic dream she's unable to wake from)
I'm sure he's talked more about it in other interviews, I just can't remember which ones :/

Yeah, I've heard the lyrics have the theme "Sleeping Beauty"... But I've also read that the girl is in a traumatic state, and that's kind of contradictory. :x Anyway, thank you for the information!

I think this song about someone, waiting for his\her lover, which is in coma, and that person is always hoping that her\his lover will wake up, tough their love life is not always happy ^^
JMO anyway ^^
thanks for translating! =)

Thank you for translating and also thank oyu for the explanation!
May I note something? According to Ruki´s interview in Neo Genesis 32, the song is sung by the main character (lover/Ruki/anyone) towards the "bride".
But still, I think it´s amazing how many interpretations there can be, isn´t it? *O*
I won't forget. That I was attracted to you who knew pain.
God, I love this line~
Thankies!
