In order to escape the horrors of Propositional Logic, I decided to use the recently scanned DISTRESS AND COMA booklet to translate the title track a little earlier than I anticipated.

This song is extremely sad. In a way, it's numbing - fitting the theme and title of the piece perfectly. It depicts a kind of pain that is hard to escape from, and

And as for the interpretation - well, I like the ones you've come up with, and i think they fit well with the lyrics. Pouring over what Ruki intended the lyircs to mean is always interesting for me=)

Sigh...i so wish i knew japanese, so i could translate stuff like this. I can only imagine the sense of accomplishment that comes with doing something like this =33

I've read a few translations of this song and I've got to say yours is my favorite =) I thought it was from the lover's POV until I read your notes, now I'm not so sure. My initial thoughts were that it might be about his lover who killed herself, but that might just be a shallow reading of the lyrics.....? XD; Either that or she was into self-mutilation. idk, so many interpretations possible!

Either way, it's the best thing they've released for a while \(^_____^)/

Thank you really very much for the translation and the interpretation of this song. I'm more the type of listening to the melody in the first place and then to the lyric ^^;;;.
I have also to admit, that I nearly had no time to take a closer look on the lyrics. As long as I can remember I read somewhere in a translated interview about his intention, but I don't know where... *cough*

ah, thank you so much for the translation ! I think yours is the best out of all i've seen this far, i can understand the lyrics much better now.

here is a translation of Ruki's thoughts about the single and the lyrics. He says that the story is told towards the bride, so it's the lover who's singing the lyrics. and i think "I won't forget. That I was attracted to you who knew pain." these lines make it kinda obvious that the lyrics are about the bride.

this song is very very beautiful and sad. one the bests from Gazetto until now, i think. thank you for translating it ~ :3
