Grimmer has two non-canon powers in Anatole.

Distraction: He'll be able to redirect the attention and thoughts of other people. If he doesn't want you noticing something? He can make you think about something else. Of course, this may not work on other characters with psychic powers.

Resistance to illusions: He'll be able to see through the ( Read more... )

1) ...maybe. I am totally game for it; I am just...not sure how that works with an empath and telepath. :I
2) Nope!

yeah, I'm not exactly sure how it would work, either. Maybe Grimmer could distract Quatre's telepathy, but not the empathy (or vice versa)? How would you want to work it?

Okay, I think distracting the telepathy is the best, and it will be effective for Grimmer because...empathy is basically pointless on him, haha. So Quatre can just be deductive like a normal person for once.

1) Unfortunately mind tricks won't work on Sohki, so he won't be able to distract him at all.

2) He can definitely see a flicker through Sohki's human form illusion! like we discussed :D

1. Sure!
2. Ax's abilities don't use illusions.

1. Sure
2. The only (technical) illusion I can think of is Raphael's general lack of visible manifested wings. If you want him to see them that's fine!

...I have to admit, I am amused by the thought of the double-take he'd do on seeing wings.

1) Can Grimmer distract your character?
2) Are there any illusions which, for plot purposes, you do not want him to see through?

Sebastian:
1) I'm leaning toward no, because Sebastian doesn't have a human brain and he has a similar ability. Can't play a player, that sort of thing. If there's a really cool reason for it in some unforeseen future plot, though, I'm not completely opposed. (And in fact like when Sebastian gets outsmarted or outdone. B) I just don't think it would be easy.
2) His human form is his human form, it's not hiding anything. ^_^

Break:
1) LOL sure. Break tries to distract everyone with words, it'd be funny if he got a taste of his own medicine. XD
2) Break comes as he is. His only illusion is trying not to advertise that he's blind, but he's really not so good at it, even to the common observer.

Naoto:
1) Go for it! She might uh, be bothered by it later and go back and try to puzzle out what happened, but hey, she always needs a mystery to solve.
2) She's just a regular old slightly androgynous human!

Grimmer is used to distracting people in traditional tradecraft ways, and he'll be using that for a while before he figures out he can apparently do more. If you want Break to recognize another pro, I'm open to that!

ohoho! That works out! He'll probably just play wordgames with him then. They can talk in circles. :D
