From what Mayuri is suggesting, I have this feeling Yama-jii won't survive this arc. If anything, he might just go down to make up for what he didn't do back then. It's not wrong to be gleeful about SS's moral ambiguity. I think the fact SS is morally ambiguous adds to the layers of depth of the story and makes it more real. How many governments or leaderships don't make morally ambiguous decisions anyway,
I'm not so sure Grimm or any other Arrancar might appear now, but I think it'd be interesting if Kubo decides to draw Ichigo's battle and the invasion of SS simultaneously. I'm interested to know how many Stern Ritter there are.
Kira definitely got an upgrade in the 'looks' department. And it seems Matsumoto cut her hair.
I'm with tylashke on the feeling Yama-jii won't survive. I actually even think he has to die in the end to bring true change about in SS. Ichigo might have changed SS in some ways but with Yamamoto as soutaichou, I doubt things will ever completely turn around. He's too old and too stuck up in his ways for that. And somehow, I imagine this arc ending in a complete overhaul of the three worlds which I can't see happening with Yamamoto still leading SS.
SS's ambiguity makes this whole Manga much more interesting. If there was only black and white, it would be much more predictable. A truly 'good' Seireitei would have taken the haori off Mayuri's shoulders and thrown him into the Maggot's Nest to rot long ago, for example. But an unpredictable manaic on the 'good' side makes things more fun.
Yeah, Kira got kind of... pretty.... he looks better with short hair :) but...
Damn... damn... DAMN! Here I was thinking SS got all better thanks to Ichi, but hell if he knew what they were doing in rukongai, he'd go crazy! Damn... gravity of the situation my ass! Y_Y C'mon Yama-jii... you can't be serious... Y_Y
Anyway, looks like Ichigo's dancing on a string again... he gets provoked, does precisely what the enemy wants him to (more or less) and they just sneak past him and do their worst while he's looking the other way *sigh* Plus, there seems to be quite a bit of history between Yama-jii and our new badass boss... :/ I have a very bad feeling about this...
And what are the odds of a rampaging Quincy army COMPLETELY avoiding SS prison cells? ;)
