Scary thought!

What if life gave you every opportunity to know what your favourite songs really mean?

That thought came to me as I was singing "Don't cry Daddy", and scared the heck out of me.

Sad :-p ?

Makes me wonder, though - what do the lines “How come every time you come around, my London Bridge wanna go down?” mean, then?

She likes the guy someone, but not on his their own? Puzzling, to say the least :-p

Quite so.

No interpretation of the lyrics? Smart :-)

How morbid.

[lecture] And this is why there are songs and movies, so you don't have to live through everything. No more what-ifs. [/lecture]

The last time I wondered something like that, it came true. Was not very nice. So from then on, I've been as scientifically superstitious as one can possibly get about saying/wishing such things :p

Well, after the initial "whoa!", I was quite amused :-)

And of course thought about the happy songs one wouldn't mind living, and that life, of course is not ensuring anything whatoseoever, etc. etc. ......

But your experience is a bit scary, too, and your lecture much appreciated.

Sorry, didn't mean to randomly add shock-value. Amused is good, and was the expected reaction. The lecture, as always, was more wrong-side-of-bed than anything else. The right-side-of-bed says "Of course you should live through everything!", and we settle for something in between :)

Hello, there's many a thing I don't want to live through, especially those which bring trauma to others - so I'd stay away from that right side :-)
