Am a bit surprised to not see even one post on my friends' page mentioning this :

Kudos to Abhinav Bindra, and here's hoping that the day shall come when an individual gold medal for India is not an amazing one-off, but  another - albeit priceless - contribution towards a healthy tally.

Badhaai, badhaai.. Bindhra Bhai looks rather studious, but maybe the studious demeanour suits the sharp shooter? :-)

Yes, here's to hoping that it's the first of many for India - if no other reason than there's so many talented kids who are discouraged from pursuing sport...

Anything that changes the "safety first" mentality of Indian parents which causes them to push their children towards the narrow range of "good" careers, even a little bit, would be a healthy change :-)

Which, suddenly, reminded me of "Taare zameen par" :-)

Hats off to the guy, na. So calm and composed in the face of all glory and ...wealth. I somehow wanted vijender to win more.

Yes, hats off indeed. Hopefully Vijender can go further next time, he should be able to compete in at least 2 more Olympics.
