Hurricane Katrina, eh? Ironic that the hurricane with my name would totally trash New Orleans when I myself don't drink.

In other news, I'm teaching a class: Pediatric Pain Management. This should be interesting.

And in other "other news", Grey and I are doing.. well. The trip to the shore was nice. Say too little rather than say too much, right?

I think there's still yet for a Hurricane Jake. Who knows? Perhaps one day. Not that I'd WANT a dangerous hurricane to be my namesake...

C'mon, you know you want your name to evoke images of madness and mayhem. I'm sure there's been a Hurricane Jake somewhere in there. Maybe just not a memorable one. =P

Still, I'm Dr. Murphy or Rina to everybody, so the teasing has been kept to a minimum.

Even though I tripped over a supply cart this morning and stuff flew everywhere...

*hangs head* *stuffs hands in pockets* Yeah, I know. I'm not a very memorable guy. *kicks invisible dirt*

But I'll call you Hurricane, if you're feeling left out and/or neglected :P

Thankfully, hurricanes aren't good allegories for people. 'Cause I don't have 145 mph winds, swamp helpless resort cities and make their inhabitants flee in terror. Though now that I think about it, that'd be pretty freaking cool.

But I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find a super destructive Hurricane Jake that'll boost your ego. ;)

And I already have a nickname from you, remember? Shirley or Goldilocks works fine for me. I'm going to prevent you from naming people after natural phenomena.

I don't know if I've met you- I think I have, anyway... but your namesake gave me a seizure. That's an icebreaker for you, if anything.

Oh! I remember. Peds. Alice Cooper. Right. I knew that. ... Forgetful? Me? Naw...

A seizure, huh? Why is that?

Yep, Peds and Alice Cooper. Though it is rather strange putting the two of them together.

Though I tend to think of you as the superhero guy, if that helps any. :)

Kids. Don't appreciate good music. ...oh... no.... I just sounded.... old...

Oh, well. We superheroes are forever young.

And fight crime in the form of case studies to get their minds off disasters in their hometowns. *waves Louisiana flag* Native.

Oh goodness. Well, on behalf of my namesake, I am totally sorry for wrecking your city. Chalk it up to my naturally destructive nature.

... For the record, I'm jeaaaaloooouuus~

Has the list even gotten to "S" before? That would be one storm season.

No idea. We don't get a lot of hurricanes in Philly and LA, so I wouldn't know. But you're right, that would be one hell of a season.

I think it'd be kinda fun to be in the middle of one though. Just for the experience, yanno? Of course, without the accidental dying part. Yeah...

It sometimes makes me wonder why people actually retire down south to begin with.

Earthquakes, blizzards, a tornado or two (THAT was a fun neurology conference), but yeah, I'm also negative on the hurricanes. Though technically, in the "middle of one," you'd just be in the eye of the storm. And that's not much fun comparred to the rain, wind, flooding, and flying objects.

That's true. Unless you're hit by one of the flying objects. In which case, the hurricane would case to be fun and become painful instead.

Been through earthquakes and blizzards myself, but no tornados. Now that would be interesting.

Hurricane Peter sounds like some sort of sparkling, magical... for some reason, I'm thinking blue hurricane that showers grape soda on the rooftops of the gingerbread inhabitants of gumdrop land... and... and. Wow. I got really carried away with that.

I am totally playing Candyland with some of my patients tomorrow, thanks to you. Not that I haven't played that game about 50 million times by now, haha.

P.S. Grape soda is gross. Blech. Tastes like Dimetapp. Poor kids.
