Anyone else kinda pissed off that while Harry's Parents, Lupin & Sirius show up as ghosts, and Dumbledore gets a portrait there isn't a single other interaction for Snape after he dies? It seems a bit unkind that he doesn't get to see what that all his sacrifices weren't in vain ( Read more... )

I'm actually extremely happy about that. There are far more believable ways to write Snape as still around if you don't have the closure.

oh, but he's "deeply horrible". he doesn't deserve it. he got turned into a fucking PLOT POINT, for chrissake.

Yeah, it does seem a lot like he got screwed over again. And after all he did for them.
But I guess, in a way, the lack of closure continues his constant mysteriousness, if you know what I mean. That and it doesn't entirely confirm his death.

absolutely! he's a potions master for petes sake.... bottle fame brew glory and even put a stopper in DEATH... even pointless anti-clamatic death.

Exactly. Snape doesn't seem like the kind of person that goes out and about without being prepared for absolutely anything, especially while being a spy.

It does seem a bit strange that he didn't have a bezoar handy. Considering that he kept looking away from Voldemort and toward the snake cage in that scene, he probably had a good idea of what was up.

Also, I think what he was afraid of (with his constant pleas of "Let me get Potter", etc.) was not dying per se, but dying without being able to get all that important info passed on to Harry. So it must have seemed damn near miraculous when Harry and Co. showed up just a few minutes before he passed on...

I'm still missing Snape so badly, and trying to get ideas for ghostfics, afterlife fics, Resurrection Stone fics etc. etc...

But I just got my Hot Topic Snape and Ravenclaw teeshirts in the mail! *basking in the Snape Love*
