I never meant to be the needle that broke your back

What an up-and-down experience this past week has been. The up portion can be attributed to Vietnamese New Year, which I celebrated with at my grandparents' house last night. A few of my relatives even gave me red, money-filled envelopes. I was not expecting that at all since I figured I was well past the age for receiving them. I think my aunts ( Read more... )

You are really unlucky :S Let's hope this week will be much better!
I miss books in my life. My life is ruled by computers and sometimes it makes me want to cry (I'm a big baby).

Most of this happened before New Year's, so I'm hoping that my luck will change now, especially since it's the Year of the Tiger and I was born in the Year of the Tiger myself. I'm not superstitious by any means, but I'm taking whatever luck I can get at this point, haha.

Aw! A friend told me that she always tries to set aside some time to read right before bed, and now I try to follow her example. Maybe it might work for you, too :)

My cord for my MacBook did the same thing. I called and they shipped me one right away without charge. Of course, I was nowhere near an Apple store, but I'm sure they'll do the same for you.

Indeed, they gave me a new adapter free of charge. I actually like this one better than my old one because the cord now runs parallel to my laptop, as opposed to the other which was perpendicular and thus was prone to bending and getting kinked. The Genius Bar guy said that the cord getting twisted and kinked probably frayed the wiring inside, causing it to spark.

Yikes! We need to put you in a bubble or something!

That's some pretty funky stuff happening in a period of short time. Glad to hear you are all right though!

I've thought that myself many times this past week. But yes, I survived it all!
