A pic of Miss Kay's tummy. Dang that incision looks long in this view!

Almost looks like a zipper should go there...

Oh, while there I took a look at your pictures of tallow making which reminded me to thank you for the candle. I burned a little of it last week - and it smells like BACON!

Yeah, I know. And there was ileus throughout her whole intestinal tract. No motility at all (Heh, how 'bout dem vocabulary words I just done learned?) so I suppose they had to clean out every centimeter of her pipes before jump-starting them. Poor girl.

She's still a tish sore and stiff (duh!), but can now climb into and out of the fur-butt condo, which is quite a challenge for someone in her condition, seeing as how one must raise one's belly over a short bar crossing the threshold. She's starting to low-key wrestle with her sister Anarchy, and get into sparring matches with scraps of polar-fleece.

Dulci's started doing some mild myo-fascial work on Kay's tummy to help ensure full flexibility.

The fridge and dishwasher are now sealed off right to the floor with expanded steel. Yeah, I know, nothing is ever ferret-proof, but now it's easier to get into the pots & pans cupboard than under big appliances. And big clangy shiny pots, pans and mixing bowls are more funner anyway (I hope!)

None of our ferrets have ever been chewers. I just think Kay got into a frenzy while playing with the dogs, then dodged under the fridge and nipped the first thing available. A red wire. With a wet chin and belly. Sigh.

But tonight she and I were tussling over a plastic bag until she needed a nap, which she took inside my T-shirt as I lay on the couch watching basketball and hockey with Dulci. There ain't no replacing that.
