Good things come to those who wait!

So I finally got a job, and it was actually the best one out of all that I applied for ^o^ I'm going to be a kindergarten teacher at an international school. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd want to do such a thing, but it seems like a much more energetic, hands-on job than what I've got now. I dunno, I'm kind of ready for ( Read more... )

Congratulations! Keep us updated about the job, and hopefully you'll stay there long enough for at least three of your friends to fly over and bug you for a week. ^_~

You're lucky you're getting your backpay. That's money I'll never see. -_-

Thanks! But I thought you left before they stopped paying people. If not, I'll look for your papers too.

I never received my last paycheck. Granted, it probably wouldn't be much, anyway, as I called in a few times and took vacation, but still. ^^;

1) I sent the book yesterday! Sadly, I didn't have anything to pad it inside the box, so it might get a little knocked around.

2) Have you/can you go ahead and send my JLPT results to me?

3) Let me know if any paperwork comes for me to the house, although I doubt that it will, somehow :/

Okay, I'll send your JLPT stuff ASAP. Prolly on Tuesday. Actually, your backpay paperwork came in yesterday. But here's the thing...in order for me to process it for you, I'd need a copy of your passport and several pages of your bankbook...I think the top two with all your info. Maybe I can list the house phone number as yours on the sheet. Thing is, if they figure out you're applying for the money from outside the country, they're gonna knock you with 20% income tax. I can try to fake it for you, but they might figure it out from your passport pages (you have to give a copy of your most recent arrival/departure and visa status). Now you could send me a copy of your gaijin card front and back, but I don't know if that'll work either. Alternately, I could just send the paperwork home to you, because they tell you how to apply from outside Japan and you have 2 years to do so. Let me know what you want to do here. I can try for you, but I'm not sure how legal it is.

Go ahead and send me the paperwork, and I'll take the cut I guess. Better than trying to trick them and getting nothing :P And thanks!
