Trying to go back to sleep, and therefore away from this place, did not work. Wandering all over this strange new house didn't work. She is now beginning to get slightly worried

I'm not sure how they are able to do any of this, and even the exact reason 'why' is not known to anyone. It is assumed that they are doing this for either their own enjoyment or as some sort of experiment.
