:( I sympathize. It's a bitch to have to be constantly aware of every male that walks within a fifty-foot radius of me at night. I try to keep people in front of me, and it's absurd to have to do that... You all know that I'm the furthest thing from paranoid, but sometimes it's necessary. Especially in places like Philly.

What irritates me is that Americans are educated - to a point - while some countries don't make education mandatory past elementary school (if that). It's not a good excuse for sexism, but it's more understandable, especially if the only role models that the children of these countries have ever known all practice sexism. In the States, some educated men that are fully aware that women are their mental and biological (except for a few trivial sex hormones) equals are still treating women like dirt. "Make me a sandwich..." What a shitface.

Thanks for the love :)

I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree, though. I actually think this whole situation is the definition *of* the gender issue. It's characteristic of a larger problem, sure. But if women weren't perceived a certain way in the first place, then sick individuals wouldn't take that perception to an entirely inappropriate level.

But, yeah, we totally could have taken him.

Have you ever considered owning and becoming proficient with a firearm? There's an old saying that goes "an armed society is a polite society."
