I LIIIIIIIIVE!!! (Again! XD)

Hi, everybody! ^^ Greetings from Texas!

Welp, sorry I've been off the radar for a while; I've updated my Facebook a little, for those of you who have one. Anyhoo! I am settling in. I actually got a ministry placement (my 'job', you could say) in a spot that only 4 people were picked to work at! Isn't that mind-boggling? Lol, I was stunned out of my ( Read more... )

Wow, how is this supposed to teach you to handle yourself in real life if everything is planned out and restricted for you?

Sorry, me just being my complaining self. ;p

Great to hear you've settled in well, and that you already got a job! I look forward to hearing more about the place, I've never been that far south. ^_^

That period was only meant to help us detach a little from all the distracting influences of the outside world. Sort of like a jump start into focusing on God here. Orange Block is over now, though, as can be seen by the fact that I'm finally replying to this! :D Yay for sugar! XD

I really do like it here, although I miss home fairly often. It's a pretty cool campus. Say, if Dan doesn't get around to it (since I already asked him), could you email me your guys's home address? I wanted to mail your family one of my newsletters when I finally manage to get them out. ^^ I also need Kit's address; she said she wanted one, but I haven't heard from her since I left.

Great to hear from you, Kat! :D How's college going? Are you doing well in your classes? Remember, don't let your mind lose too much focus on God; you know all the horror stories about college affecting people in negative ways, and I would hate for that to happen to you. You're a great friend. :) Lemme know if you ever want to talk about anything! ^^ Miss ya, and write back

I guess I'm doing alright? Yeah, I haven't exploded, so I guess it's good.

I have a facebook. I was strongarmed by the entirety of POD (The Pride Of Dayton marching band) and my wing in my dorm.

Oh yeah, update from that comment, in case you missed, I have 22.5 hours now.

Poor cold blooded people. They go to see the play and invariably fall asleep.

Integrity? Is that some sort if integral or something? hmm... maybe it's like the Fourth integral.

Sporadic nonsense as I type this at 12:17 am.

How much extra space can I eat with spaces like this? hm...

No pay? Oh well, they probably don't have a lot of places on your campus to buy stuff anyway. Although if the prices are anything like here... lets just say I bought a pack of pencils and I'm still trying to find some extra souls to pay for it. Joking aside, it's expensive here.

Those were some excellent questions, Riverfox! A ninja looks forward to killing you soon! (Yeah, I ripped off the Ask a Ninja ninja.)

I really wonder why they chose orange...

Non-exploding is good. Yes.

Whoo-hoo, Facebook! :D My Mom even has one now, which rather surprised me, because she does not normally get such things!

Don't eat too much space, Dan. It's chock full of calories.

Actually, they DO have a store, and I often buy these little bags of delicious mini M&M cookies there for 50 cents. :D But generally you get most of your money from your own savings (I started with about a thousand dollars in my bank account), and usually you get donations from friends and family. So yes. I have some money. And there's a Walmart shuttle every Tuesday! :D I'm sorry you have terrible prices. Kinda like movie theatres and theme parks: if you can't go anywhere else, they know they can skyrocket the price like crazy! I am so glad this is a nice Christian Academy. :D

Orange? Ask a ninja? What?! STOP USING REFERENCES I DON'T UNDERSTAND, DARNIT! *shakes fist dramatically and then scurries to the search engine to find this 'Ask a Ninja' site*

Hiya ^-^

Glad to hear you're settling in well, and that you've got a job to go on too.

I love swimming! Haven't been in a while though. We live near the sea but I'm not keen on swimming in that :S

Nice to know you haven't given up on your drawing! I've been aiming to improve mine too. Going to try and get a nice set of proper artists colouring pencils so I can give my pencil shading another go at some point ^-^

Hmm, Orange Block huh? Not so sure about the no blog reply thing, but I think - and I never thought I'd ever say this - that the no sugar thing isn't as bad an idea as people think. I just wish I went to some place like that. I have real willpower issues -_-

I'd send you my address, but I'm not sure how you'd feel about sending to the UK ^^; Lemme know.

*Glomps*That's an understatement -_- We didn't even get much of a summer this year. Just two weeks of sun surrounded by flooding! Although, there is a swimming pool called "The Crown" in Ipswich that emulates the sea, although it only turns on the wave machine every so often. There was a similar thing at "The Dolphin" in Romford, where I used to live, although somebody once got their leg caught in the Wave machine there ( ... )
