Aug 14, 2012 09:09

I wish I had a Time-Turner.  Not like the fake one hanging from my rear-view mirror, but a real one ( Read more... )

Time doesn't allow for turning back.
Time is a bitch on wheels. Wheels that rotate quickly.
*cheers for Brandon.
*comes as close as I can to a hug for you

Where does the time go? And how/why do they grow up so fast?

*hugs*

I know, right? *shakes head*

One day, you'll be getting Kai ready for kindergarten, and the next, you'll be helping HIM pick out colleges.

Sometimes I envy you your little ones. *sighs*

I'm already feeling that way about Max.

The other day, I heard him say something about. "Gotta look cool for the girls..."

WTF????

Wow. They do grow so fast. I'm sure he'll do marvelously where ever he goes and you'll have much to be proud of. *nods*

I remember being at my daughter's 5th grade "graduation" and it was seeing the kindergarteners that made me realize how big she was and that's when I started tearing up.

Yes, I'll be very proud of whatever he wants to do. *nods*

OMG. I'm gonna be a mess when he graduates from high school. *meep!*

Can't we keep them little for just a bit longer?

He could do well in film production! A friend of ours went to SUNY and now works in L.A. for Nickelodeon.

No way! COOL!

I'm trying to keep him realistic while at the same time telling him the sky's the limit.

Oh, darlin'. I can relate. My daughter is a HS Junior as of yesterday. Already she's talking about the SATs, colleges tours, the application process ... She's taller than me, too ... and she said one day, she'll be a science genius - and then amended herself and said she would be a science wizard instead ... It's not fair; time is sprinting by.

Oh, wow!! So you know exactly how I'm feeling. Do you feel kind of left out?

Brandon's taller than me too, but he was bound to be that way. And he wonders why I get him X-large t-shirts anymore.

That's awesome she wants to be a science wizard! What area?

I sometimes feel really left out, and I try not to pout about it. When it's at its worst, I suggest lunch out or something where I can get some face time with her. That helps.

She isn't sure which area. Both the ocean and space are not completely explored yet, and that appeals to her.

Ah, gotcha. I must do that more.

Ooo, either of those sounds fascinating! Space is my preference, but that's just me. ;)

I'm afraid I can't be objective when it comes to his choice of schools *hums USC fight song* but I can sympathize with your bewilderment at the passage of time. How on earth does it go so quickly? My "little" sister is getting married in two months and I still remember her following me around as a toddler wanting to dress like me.

*sigh*

I'm sure Brandon will be an asset to whatever school he attends, and whatever field he chooses. But that doesn't make the fact that he's growing up any easier. *hugs*

Right! I mean, I remember being in high school and wondering where I'd go... and then I turn around and my SON is wondering where to go! *mind is boggled*
