I'm glad I'm not the lone :-( here. Not that I want us both to be gloomy, just... IDK, I was looking at the CoE posts and comments over the weekend, and depressing myself all over again, but thinking at least it was all in the past, along with being called a wanker for having the reaction I did have to CoE. Now it'll all kick off again, though hopefully with me no longer in it.

(sorry about the comment screening btw - I can't seem to unset it for new posts. My lj-fu is rubbish!)

My flist is mostly overjoyed, so yeah, ditto - not glad that you are sadface too, but glad I'm not alone. :)

You're definitely not the lone. The majority of my flist is all a-joy, and they're certainly entitled to their feelings. Me, I don't trust RTD any farther than I can throw him with BOTH arms tied behind my back. All a-joy definitely doesn't describe my feelings. Meh, and huh are a lot closer to how I feel, and I'm not planning on subscribing to the Starz channel.

I keep seeing this reaction on my flist, and I don't. Get it. ...so. Torchwood fans are pissed that the show is not cancelled? Is that right?

Hey, I can't speak for anyone else but myself and my reaction. For me, it is not welcome news and I thought I'd explained why in this post. For others, you'll find the whole rainbow of reactions from my nay to many resounding Yays - try the torch_wood comm for a sample on the post where this is currently being discussed. Other fans who may be pissed off will have their own reasons, which may or may not overlap with mine, but I don't know: you'd have to ask them.

By the end of Torchwood: Children of Earth Russel T. Davies had smashed, killed, and pissed on every single person and thing I'd ever enjoyed in Torchwood, so I was really hoping it ended there, because there's no way he's going to fix any of it.

Ahhh.

The international aspect makes me wonder if it's going to be about OTHER Torchwood branches, but...ARE there other Torchwood branches?

All I remember is Fox passing on Torchwood USA because they already have Fringe.

Me neither duuude. I think the odds are it'll feature Cast Of Shiny New Cheap US Unknown Redshirts, one or two US 'names' to draw interest, and dialled-in cameos for Jack, Gwen and maybe a couple of other Brit characters - not too many, mind, those wacky accents are sooooo wacky! And their teeth are all eeewgh too.

I don't care if RTD has Jack shagging his way through the Household Cavalry at this stage. Given his overall control, and the impeccable track recod of shameless, unscrupulous mis-direction over the last series, the whole thing can go piss up a pole. Let the big CoE fans carry the cheerleading from now on.

*distracts you with the " otherworldly beauty" of Matt Bomer*

(...it's not my fault, it's from the article...)

Eh, he's tolerable! I've never tried White Collar - the concept didn't grab me right off, though one of these days when it's on when I'm near a TV, I'm sure I will sample the goods. Right now, though, I can't link you to a pic of what I'm quietly trying to pretend I'm not vaguely interested in, because if I did you'd revoke my life membership of the Pervy Old Women Lusting After Attractive Young Men Club, and then where would I hang out all summer?

Hmmm... is it a politically motivated interest? ;)

Hi! And no worries: I'm not capable of finding any positive reaction to any future for this show anymore, but that doesn't bind anyone else - and you're right to take whatever joy you can find from whatever gladdens you, shitty week or not. JB seems wildly happy too, so you're in very bouncy company with your squeeage at least!
