Happiness Meme Day 6 - For 4/28/09
My boss wasn't at work today which always seems to make for a more relaxed working environment even when I get very busy.
Also went to see my insurance agent to get an overview of my coverage and make some changes. It was oddly nice to realize that I needed to make the increases and that it wouldn't cost too much more to get it. -

After three months of work I finally got the guy at CSU to stop stalling and sign off on the packing list for a $95K order that we finished delivering to him in January.

I picked up a pail of small rocks and a bunch of old bricks from Jean-Eric so that I can start work on building my garden in my patch of front yard. And I managed to get at least the bricks unloaded from my car directly into the yard before the rain started to get a little more serious, so I don't now have to haul them out from the garage. My boss bought me a slice of cake from Del Taco even after I said I didn't want anything. (Oddly they have really good chocolate cake. Whoda thunk it from a fast food joint that specializes in Mexican food.)

Home Safe
Unlike a number of my friends, working from home has never been an option for me. Today it was even less so, as I was scheduled to teach an American Heart Association class (first aid and CPR) for the DOC. This is mandatory training for everyone involved, and not really something I could call off doing unless I was utterly buried by snow.

Program Loading and Other Small Things
Last night I got all the protective programs loaded or re-loaded onto the laptop; took about an hour and a half. Not too shabby. Now I need to clean off my data stick of those executables and pull Open Office off the CD and onto the stick so I can load that, too.
