And yes, you will have a few trying nights. He's bound to be a little bit sad. Expect a lot of whining etc, but it's best by far to crate him whether he's happy there initially or not - he'll soon get used to it - if you want him house trained. (I guess you know the drill, he should get it fairly soon, as they are a smart breed.) But yep, its all worth it!
I'm glad I mentioned to my neighbor that we'd be getting him. She said "oh, that'll be good, payback for my loud sons!" :) Hopefully they won't be able to hear him through the walls. But we will definitely be trying the kennel out more because I think it'll be good for him. And then we can have him in there when we're visiting my parents and such.
