Learn blues chords, once you get comfortable with them you feel like you can pour your soul into the guitar just playing them. Also don't worry about making sure everyone is having a good time. Relax and enjoy yourself, a lot of times you find you didn't need to worry about everyone else and if they can't enjoy just hanging out they're not your friends. Remember you still have friends at home who support you even if we can't be in the same place. On that note, can't wait till we can hang out again.

I dunno, dude. I think it's perfectly normal to feel dissatisfied with your current situation. Everyone goes through this shit-- what makes a difference is how you take steps to address that dissatisfaction.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I ran into something like this recently (as I'm sure you've had the opportunity to see through my retarded LJ posts), and through my experience all I can say is that you need to find out what it is that will make you happy. That doesn't mean like... decide within the next few months, or figure it out soon to jumpstart a successful career when you get home. It's such a gradual process, and the best you can do is make yourself happy right now. If being in Japan presents all sorts of obstacles in that regard, make the best of it. Attitude makes a world of difference.

All of that seems obvious, but I dunno. It helped me. D:

good luck, dude
