Yay for your trip! :) I was lucky enough to fly over Manhattan on my way to Vegas last year (didn't make sense to me either, but whatever). I still think you're nuts and I would've been bored with this stuff after 3 days, but I'm SO GLAD you love it. I know what you mean when you write, "I need to live here." That's why I'm moving a gazillion miles away - I couldn't not. I tend to think (obviously) that being in a place that moves you goes a LONG WAY toward happiness. Go job-hunting! Move to the city! Who knows? Maybe your parents will come visit you and learn to understand you a little better. Maybe they'll understand everything a little better. Or maybe you'll be blissful there regardless and won't care either way. :)

... make sure your tiny studio at least has room for my sleeping bag on the floor, OK? :) I'll need to get out of AK in February or March. That's the time of year when people start slitting their wrists. ;)

I was up in NYC for a weekend to see some friends in a tiny little play maybe a month or two ago. I'm not sure what part of the city I was in, but I completely fell in love with it. If you want to move to New York and would like someone you know to move with please please please let me know. I'm pretty easy to live with.. :)

holy crap. i love the way you update, what you choose to tell us and keeping it all to the point :-) like the dude sleeping in his suit at lunch. or the specific bars. or that crazy lawyer story. now the pictures on facebook make more sense.

and make sure that your tiny studio has room for MY sleeping bag too! ;-) so that makes at least two floor guests

glad you had a good time in NYC! I've been dying to get there again. Good luck job hunting. I'm not sure what I liked more here, your descriptions of things or Keri's wrist slitting comment.
