I am gonna start putting up some *interesting* square dance sequences. Some of them I wrote (or will write). Some I have danced to, or heard, or talked to other callers/dancers about. Hmm... I think over the next few weeks (months? years?) I am going to have an interesting series of conversations with my chemistry / biology guru. She is a 2nd or 3rd year student at UC Davis. I got Tiger last night, and installed it on a couple of machines, using different install procedures. One was an upgrade, one was an archive and install, and one was a clean install on a fresh partition. As far as I can tell, they all worked as advertised, and all work the same. Humph!!! 80GB worth of hard drive won't spin up. This is NOT good. The boot drive from the production machine at work froze. Fortunately, all of the working software and data are on the second drive. I installed a new OS from the CDs and now it boots up, and seems to be working fine. I still need to download and install all the patches and ( Read more... )

I have been writing in my local journal much more often than here in LJ. Most of that material makes sense to post here, some of it is not intended for public consumption.
