( Okay, so last night I watched this movie, The Invasion. It's a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, one of my favorite movies, a movie that already got one of the best remakes out there in the 70s with Donald Sutherland and his Amazing 'Stache of Doom.

So I went in with reservations, obviously. I also, however, went in with a serious jones for Daniel Craig, so those two things may have canceled each other out. )

I considered a post that was all "Damn you George Newbern for having a successful career and being on television all the time! Yeccch!" and then noted that I recently had a dream where Scott made a cameo but had Rod Blagojevich's hair. But I'm going to talk about Valentine's Day instead.

( Though that hair thing was pretty hilarious. )

Had a lovely night with Neil Thursday night. He took Spartacus to the cardiologist on Thursday morning to get a heart murmur checked out; it looks like the little guy is going to be all right, which is a relief. We watched Near Dark and Predator 2 and drank a bottle of wine and talked about current events and just generally had a lovely time.

Happy New Year, everybody.

It's been an exhausting holiday, though for the most part a pleasant one. For Christmas Eve and Christmas day I went back to my parents' house after work, ate until I couldn't move, opened presents, all that good stuff.
