I was looking at ESPN.com and saw an article saying that the NFL should ditch their playoff system and go to a BCS-type system to determine the champion every year. The Republican Party suffered an unbelievable rout in the midterm elections yesterday. Democrats won control of the House, the Senate, and most governorships. Not a single Democrat incumbent lost, and they gained seats. Today I got to work and found out that I'm going on a naval gunfire shoot tomorrow. It'll be a regimental shoot, so it won't just be the Anglicans there. And the ship will only have 50 rounds, so we'll probably end up getting to do just one call for fire apiece, with two salvos in adjust and a one-round fire for effect. I've pretty much stopped caring about how much sleep I get. Before I was in the military, I used to get pretty irritated if I didn't get a nominal amount of sleep every night. Things have been going pretty well since I got to San Diego. The only real downside has been that on about the second or third night here, one of my classmates went crazy and got arrested downtown.
