Cress can't help but grin to himself, hearing Chili yell for him. This kind of thing didn't happen very often, and certainly, Cress was very tempted to make a jab at him, but he wasn't completely without tact. In fact, he found it admirable that Chili went out of his way to do this for Elesa. He'd have to point that out later when the danger of getting punched was lower.

"Coming, coming," he called back, putting down the napkin-bundled silverware and heading over.

Elesa, unaware of the chaos in the kitchen approached the front of the Striaton Gym. Has it been that long since she was last at the gym and it's wonderful cafe? Indeed it was. The supermodel very rarely went to densely populated spaces unless it was necessary such as to meet people or to get something she wanted. Since all the gym leaders, one way or another ended up at Striaton, it was something of a "who's who" in Unova spotting ground.

Which is why she was delayed... getting to the gym. As unfortunately, several overeager trainers had spotted her and asked for her autograph. And a photo. And some Pokemon advice. Which she was too happy to oblige. Maybe she should have an entourage. Nah, that was very Team Plasma-ish.

When she managed to escape the adoring public, she quietly slipped through the gym doors and made her way through to the little podium where one of the trio would usually meet their guests before entering the cafe.

Once Cress got in the kitchen, that's when things got... interesting. Behind him, the water on the stoves began boiling over, but Chili doesn't do a thing about that yet. There were other things to be concerned about. He gestured to the cook book grumpily. "We don't have this, I can't figure out what that is, and why does the temperature need to be so low?" He just didn't get it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Chili! The stove is the most important matter to attend to right now. Cress sweeps in to save the day--or at least the water-- and turns down the fire.

"Because the water will boil over if it's up too high," he replied smoothly, turning back to Chili. "Let me see the book..."

He pauses over the cookbook's page, humming to himself under his breath. They do, in fact, have this, and that is simple enough... but actually, there was something more important to address.

"Why don't you let me handle this?" he began easily. "I think I heard someone enter the café-- go see who it is?"

And Elesa just stood there. Waiting. It was rude to make a lady wait, you guys.

She understood that it was a quiet day in but still! She looked around restlessly as she tried to figure out where everybody was. There was the usual fans who came here religiously, but they were in a corner to themselves swapping photos and comparing notes.

She sighed quietly to herself and leaned on the podium. Yes she crumpled half the table plans but she was bored.
