My trial was yesterday morning. I guess I should start by telling you guys the outcome before I get into the story:

The case was dismissed without even being tried. I am off scot free. Woohoo!

Alright!!! I knew this would be the outcome. I'm very happy for you! I hope Mike has learned a lesson. And you are correct, he should be ashamed.

Hooray!!! Aren't you glad that you didn't take the plea though?? I'm so happy it ended this way for you. I hope he feels like the miserable, stupid little loser that he certainly seems to be!

Soooo glad. I thought about taking the plea bargain but I couldn't let him get away with this.

that's the best news in the world. You fought for yourself all the way and braved it out. that'd be awesome if the lawyer feels could be reversed on that prick for all the trauma he has caused you through this.

I am so pleased for you and I'm really glad that the Prosecutor saw sense even though it was all at the last minute - shocking it got so far really. I am also surprised that someone aiming for a law career can think so lightly of perjury and wasting the courts time (as well as taxpayers money)I hope he has learned something from this and realises how lucky he was that he didn't actually go to trial and perjure himself on the stand.

I know it was a big decision not taking that plea bargain and holding to your principles and it's so great that you now know YOU WERE RIGHT! I'm glad i read this before i went on holiday tonight as a few days back I was wondering when your trial was set for.

Yeah, Mike is delusional and probably thinks perjury is a small price to pay to teach me a lesson. He likes to play God. At least I can stop posting halfway nice things about him, pretending I understand and trying to reason with him. I hope his career in law is very short-lived.
