So Clinton is getting flack for the comments he made regarding the commutation of Scooter Libby's sentence. And I can totally see that. Clinton was a cheat and a liar, that's for sure. He also pardoned a lot of folks. Still, I seem to recall the Bush campaign and Republicans in general going on about new standards and accountability and

It was a nice midweek holiday. I didn't sleep in though. Which is probably why I napped later on. Oops. Went down to yonder Metreon to see Transformers. ( My thoughts )
Last night we had a small dinner gathering that didn't turn out so well. I made a ham, but Safeway's selection left much to be desired. The glaze took forever and didn't turn out too well. Ugh. I tried to make scalloped potatoes, but boiled them too long and they became too mushy, so I wound up making mashed potatoes instead. The pie was OK,

So I have Ubuntu running on the old box. It took some Googling to get the monitor running correctly, but that has been resolved. Now I have to set up file shares as that doesn't seem to be doing so well. But I am posting this from Linux using LogJam. Yay!. So far it hasn't been as frustrating as I'd feared. I must say the Synaptic package

So today my shiny new Shuttle small form factor PC arrived. Well, the barebone anyway. Tomorrow the CPU and RAM arrive and I'll be installing an existing graphics card. Also included will be my OEM copy of Vista Home Premium and a ReadyBoost compatible flash drive. I got a new keyboard to match my mouse (it was cheap). I'm debating waiting

So today was another Apple, Inc. keynote from Steve Jobs at MacWorld Expo 2007 here in the City by the Bay. I must say that I'm personally underwhelmed by the announcements. The AppleTV is nifty, but honestly, I won't consider one until it's hacked to stream content from apps other than iTunes. Some of the files I view won't play in QuickTime
