so i went to the phi theta kappa meeting yesterday and was nominated for VP of treasury. now i have to prepare a speech for that. i also officially began tutoring people yesterday, i finally have work study that i always wanted. then i took a math placement test to see what math class i have to take, and guess what...yup you guessed it basic ( Read more... )

I'm opposed to standardized testing as a means of evaluation and placement. Some people, myself included, simply dont' "test well".

Glad to hear that you're tutoring, that is rewarding work as long as the tutees are not a-holes.

yeah, well the first one is my sister, she has major problems with math. now i have two more friends that need math help, and another friend who has trouble in history. of course i dont get paid until the end of april, but this will help pay for summer school =)
