Last night, I had a series of crazy dreams. I got a new mattress pad, and it had this weird "new polyurethane" smell to it. So I think that messed up my brain somehow. Another interesting thing about LA is that they have these motorcycle lanes on all the highways. It's really nice for rush hour, because they're never crowded. See, they've painted the dashed white lines on the road right in between the car lanes, and you just ride down those on your motorcycle. So I've been out in LA for about a week now, and the most striking feature so far isn't the ocean, or Hollywood, or the smog. It's the huge mountains right there on the edge of the city.
