Ah, thanks! I just can't find myself comfortable with any of those words tbh. I'm quite happy with gardenvariety variations of "fucker". They're general and transcend all boundaries of race and sexual identity!
Queer's been reclaimed to the point where it's been thrown into the rainbow of letters and used as an orientation in and of itself, so that's pretty cool.
It didn't help that yesterday I also had to deal with the "well, maybe the gays don't want you bisexuals speaking for us" shit which, really, go die in a fire. Yes, I have dated men before yes I've enjoyed it, I'm not going to run around denouncing it to make myself seem like a "better gay." If two and a half years/living with/being committed to the same woman isn't enough to count in this idiot's little world? Fuck right the fucking right off.
I am so sorry someone said that to you. This: "well, maybe the gays don't want you bisexuals speaking for us" is such bullshit.
ANYONE/EVERYONE that does not fall into the verrrrry small standard of "heterosexual sexual norms" (and I've got plenty of straight friends who would never fall into the category of sexual norms, hence why we're friends), we all have to stick together, period. All that stuff with semantics, it's such bullshit. Gay/bi/trans, whatever you'd like to call yourself (personally, I find queer is a good description for me) we're all on the same side, fighting the man.
Anyone who says something as asinine as "well, maybe the gays don't want you bisexuals speaking for us" is just putting us all back a decade.
