I tried to start a cool hexagonal afghan from my remaining acrylic yarn stash only to find that while the colors all matched prettily (blues and greens) the yarn weights did not and it would have created a very weird blanket and not in a good way. Back to the drawing board.

ok. I need ideas for a gift that the new baby can 'give' to his big brother on his birthday. We are gonna have Ian give a gift to the baby, but that is easy... I considered matching personalized shirts, but that seems like a lame gift for a 5 yr old. Anyone have any ideas?

So its been pretty much true for a couple of weeks now, but I thought I should update that Ian is pretty much daytime potty trained! Yippee!!

All is well. Took my glucose test and rhogam shot like a good girl. Baby measuring as expected.

I think I may be crazy because I volunteered my house for a family Easter pot-luck gathering. At least I am not organizing an egg hunt or any kiddie activities - Ian was already invited to one so I am off the hook there. So, in the last couple of weeks Ian has been going thru a monster growth spurt. During this time he has pretty much self-weaned- He no longer asks me for side in the morning or in the evening.
