My dad used to wake me up for school, and it was not an easy job. He figured out early on that just asking, "Are you up yet?" wasn't enough to confirm that I wasn't sleeping, so he started to quiz me on math problems and vocabulary words ( Read more... )

Yet another treeless night! Hooray for Jeff City.

It's a tricky test, though, because I fear Awakey Sean would have the same answer. :-/

And worse, now that I think about it, you've told me about Jefferson City before. I thought it was something involving a high school class or something -- So, you can probably keep using that as the test...

-Some people sleep with their eyes open; Something I learned as a child was sleeping while repeating the phrase, "Yes Mom, I'm up!". Now there's some precise sleeptalking...

We learned mad sleeptalking skills. I can remember saying, "I've already showered!" in my sleep. Funny thing was when Mom would hold me to these sleep facts later.

"You said you were up!"

"That was to make you stop yelling! My mind will do anything in the name of sleep preservation!"
